As a part of the rally, we had a tour of the Louisville Slugger factory. They have been manufacturing bats for pro players since the late 1800's. Originally all bats were hand carved but today machinery controlled by computer programming produce bats at an astounding rate. It takes seconds for a bat to be produced from a block of wood. Over 60% of the pro baseball players use a Louisville Slugger bat. The specifications for each player is stored in the computer and will produce as many bats that a player would like, all to the exact same specs. It was a pretty amazing tour.
Today (4/9/2013) is the ending of one phase of our lives and the beginning of a new phase. We have made a decision to build a home on our RV site. We will no longer live full time in our motorhome. She will be our second home, our traveling home. So as we leave the park, we say good bye to one phase of our life and hello to new phase. We look back on these past eight years with great happiness and smiles for all we experienced and look forward to the future with great anticipation. .
