Today (4/9/2013) is the ending of one phase of our lives and the beginning of a new phase. We have made a decision to build a home on our RV site. We will no longer live full time in our motorhome. She will be our second home, our traveling home. So as we leave the park, we say good bye to one phase of our life and hello to new phase. We look back on these past eight years with great happiness and smiles for all we experienced and look forward to the future with great anticipation. .

April 17: We're on the road today
8:30 am...We are on the road towards either Tucumcari or Amarillo, depending if we can be ahead of the 45 mph wind forecast for this after noon. If we beat the wind and get past Tucumcari, we go to Amarillo where they are predicting a freeze tonight.. Ah, the fun of traveling.
5:30....we beat the wind in Tucumcari. Our plan was to drive about 250 miles to Vega, TX about 40 miles west of Amarillo. We pulled into a campground in Vega, looked around, and immediately drove out. Some campgrounds just don't feel good! So we drove to Amarillo, for a grand total of 287 miles today. Oasis RV parks proved to be an oasis for us, nice long and wide sites. The wind for most of the day was 18 mph with gusts around 30 mph.
Forecast for tonight is rain, storms and temperatures in the low 20's and winds at 29 mph. That means tomorrow will be very cold and streets may be icy. More than likely we will be spending the day here. We left the heat of Arizona to get some cool weather...who knew it would be this cool.
We are safe and well and hope you are too.
