We spent a delightful evening last night sitting in the lounge of the Peabody Hotel watching the people gather in anticipation of the duck walk. We went around an hour early to sip some wine and watch. From 4:00 pm when there were about 20 people in the lounge to 5:00 pm when the numbers increased to about 100, we sat, we watched and we chuckled.

The ducks swam in the fountain until their designated time and then they marched in precision down the red carpet and into the elevator.

The fountain itself is impressive...it is made from one piece of travertine marble. The flowers are changed every other day in the middle of the night.
